Dodgers Celebrate, Baseball Panics
The parade’s over. The lockout countdown begins.

The Short Hop
🏆 Let the Offseason Begin!
The Dodgers rolled through downtown L.A. yesterday, confetti flying, celebrating another World Series title. Thousands of fans in blue lined the streets to cheer their heroes.
Later, at a rally at Dodger Stadium, the champs promised to do it again in 2026.
Yes, after a wild October, baseball feels alive again.
⚾ Now What?
Are they about to drive straight into a wall?
Baseball’s current CBA expires after the 2026 season, and a 2027 lockout is already looming. Owners are pushing for a salary cap. Good luck with that.
While some fans say the Dodgers are ruining baseball, this year’s World Series was the most watched in a decade. With so much momentum heading into 2026, the sport is in great shape.
So sure — let’s go ahead and shut it all down in 2027. 😂
